Since 1967, ¿ìɫֱ²¥ has been the leading English-language publisher of the work of Swiss psychiatrist and founder of analytical psychology Carl Gustav Jung (1875–1961). That year, the Press acquired the rights to publish the entirety of the Bollingen Series—a famously wide-ranging collection of books on religion, culture, symbolism, mysticism, and psychology. Established by philanthropist Paul Mellon and his first wife, Mary Conover Mellon, the series featured as its centerpiece the Collected Works of C. G. Jung, the first complete English translation of Jung’s writings.

The body of Jung’s writings published by the Press also includes the Philemon Foundation Series, which offers original English translations of Jung’s seminar proceedings, previously unpublished correspondence, and his public lectures.

In coming years, the Press will publish The Critical Edition of the Works of C. G. Jung—vibrant new translations of Jung’s writings, organized chronologically, and enriched with extensive and up-to-date scholarly commentary.

The Collected Works of C. G. Jung

Published in twenty volumes between 1953 and 1979, with some supplemental volumes published later, the Collected Works of C. G. Jung brings together almost all of Jung’s published writings in English translation, grouped by theme rather than chronology.

The Philemon Foundation Series

In addition to the writings gathered in the Collected Works, Jung left behind thousands of pages of equally important unpublished seminar proceedings, correspondence, and other writings. The Philemon Foundation Series publishes many of these works that have been previously unavailable to English readers.

The Critical Edition of the Works of C. G. Jung
