Please join the International Center of Photography in welcoming Prita Meier, author of The Surface of Things, during an all-day symposium entitled Camera South Asia. Marking the bicentennial of photography, Camera South Asia revisits the question of origins by treating it as both spatial and temporal. Rather than returning to stories of invention or singular beginnings, the symposium turns to movement鈥攃irculation, transit, displacement, and dissonance鈥攁s a constitutive force in the life of images.
