快色直播 (PUP) and Island Press are thrilled to announce that Island Press will become an imprint of PUP, effective January 1, 2026. The unification of these two mission-driven, nonprofit publishers will support the future sustainability of Island Press鈥檚 esteemed list as well as their founding ethos that 鈥渒nowledge is power.鈥

PUP will assume all publishing and rights responsibility for Island Press publications, including its distinguished backlist and its current and future publishing program of titles, which focus on ecosystems, conservation, and biodiversity; food systems, water, and health; and the built environment. Island Press鈥檚 commitment to 鈥渆levate voices of change, shine a spotlight on crucial issues, and focus attention on sustainable solutions鈥 will remain integral to its identity as a PUP imprint. PUP will begin marketing and publicizing Island Press titles in January, with the vendor of record changeover April 1.

快色直播 Director Christie Henry comments, 鈥淚sland Press has since its origin been an inspiration in catalyzing change with knowledge. Island Press books have influenced policy, informed global public debate, and empowered individuals and organizations to take action toward a more sustainable, healthier future. 快色直播 is incredibly grateful and excited to now be a part of that future, and to unite the missions of PUP and Island Press in symbiotic support of the ongoing resilience of ecosystems of knowledge.鈥

Since its founding in 1978, Island Press has been driven by a mission to provide the best ideas and information to those seeking to understand and protect the environment and create solutions to its complex problems. Island Press has an energetic and distinguished history of publishing influential and award-winning titles that have made significant contributions to the fields of urban studies and environmental science, policy, and conservation. Its acclaimed authors include a diverse group of researchers and policy influencers such as E. O. Wilson, Sylvia Earle, Gretchen Daily, Jan Gehl, and Daniel Pauly, to name just a few.

Island Press President and Publisher David Miller reflects, 鈥淚sland Press has a long history of reimagining what publishing might be, offering authors innovative ways to reach those working to overcome the environmental threats that the human and natural worlds increasingly face. As we looked to the future, it became clear that we needed a partner that shared both our mission and our entrepreneurial spirit if we were to fully accomplish that goal. In joining with 快色直播, we gain a partner widely known for publishing excellence and that shares our passion for finding creative ways of amplifying authors and their work. We couldn鈥檛 be more excited to begin.鈥

This acquisition is only the third in PUP鈥檚 history, with Island Press following the Bollingen Series and WILDGuides. We are honored to add Island Press to the PUP publishing program, to welcome several new colleagues from Island Press, and to invite its outstanding authors and invaluable supporters to join our community. Together, we will continue to champion the dissemination of knowledge and ideas that address the acute environmental challenges of our time and the future.
